FarmVille Updates Model Farm with English Countryside!

With the English Countryside quickly approaching (debuting sometime this week), FarmVille’s Model Farm has been updated with items from the English Countryside! You can access the Model Farm by scrolling to the far right of your in-game neighbor’s list. The Model Farm will be right next to your highest level neighbor. To visit the model farm directly, simply click on the link below:
Note, that while these items are featured on the Model Farm you cannot buy them just yet, but they are still fun to look at and see “live” on an actual farm even it if it just a model. Here’s a list of the newest English Countryside themed items for you to drool over as we wait for the FarmVille English Countryside to roll out.

I’m seriously over the countryside farm. If we can’t farm simultaneously, without having to pause one farm, I’m betting LOTS of farmers are feeling the same way.

I just want the Clydesdale Stallion sitting there. I have no interest in the English countryside. Everything i’ve herd is just no fun.

I said it on a previous post and I’ll say it again the whole FVEC is being played out like spoilers to a movie. You watch all the trailers and teasers and get excited for the movie stand in line forever pay for your ticket and popcorn sit down only to find you have wasted your money and your time to be disappointed

Lynn, I do feel that the pause feature on the countryside farm is terrible, but I’m still interesting in seeing what the whole English Countryside second farm is all about. i have read a preview on another fan site and it sounds really good. But now its just a wait and see, however for me, I tired of the teasers FarmVille gives us, give us the new second farm so we can enjoy it. By the way, the NO shared storage is bad too. It really takes some of the fun out of the expansion. Now we wait for a deed or a balloon to crash land on our farms and start to explore the new second farm.

I am *still* unable to see/get to the Model Farm. When they pre-launch items, this is when I get impatient. I have reported my issue about 6 different times, requesting updates, and told “it’s a slow roll out”.
I’d love the opportunity to say first hand “there’s nothing special”.
But this is trying it definitely
I hope I get the English Countryside!!!

I have the trees on my farm and most of the horses, I have a Rose Arch, a Blue Cow, a couple of the Silkie chickens, and a few of the English calves. Who needs the English Countryside Farm? I don’t.

the idea was great UNTIL we find out that we can’t work both farms together. So my question is, whats the point? You loose either way depending on what farm u are on. Why can’t FV make it right and EASY and let us play it the right way. No wonder many are going away. You guys really need to think this through before you put it out there. Who wants a farm they have idle because they are working on their other farm? Not me!

I wish I had the Model Farm. It seems Zynga can not be bothered with fixing it. They claim to be working on it but after two months it is still broken. I am excited for the English Countryside.

This is so sad. I don’t even have access to the model farm. I wrote Zynga over a month ago about it and they said they were “rolling it out slowly to players”… I’ve seen the model farm available for people who have farms but don’t even have play farmville anymore!

The more I see of the proposed FVEC the less impressed I am. It has been trailered as new and exciting, but as far as I can see so far the only new thing will be sheep breeding. Which might have been good if it was breeding anything that resembled sheep, English or otherwise. Polka dot and striped fluffy toys are not sheep.
All the other stuff is just another version of what is already in FV. Barn and tool shed, just slightly different finish, etc.
Cows – nothing new there. The Clydesdale Stallion would be good to have on the original farm – although it would be better if it was the right colour. If it is going to be for FVEC only, and undoubtedly for FC, it seems that there will be two lots of horses to buy, those to have on FV and those for EC. Double spending ? I don’t think so.
Again the orchard trees, not new, so why have it on both farms.
So the question arises is this new farm a way for Zynga to improve their profit margin. Legitimate for them, but hardly good for us. Or is it a way of starting a new version of the game for some reason, with the intention of running the current one down?
Whatever, the real killer of the ‘new’ farm will be the pause effect. If it is released with that in place, and they cannot be played concurrently, then I can’t see many people, other than very new players, being keen.
For instance I am level 117, and have only a few crops to master, but I still have quite a few tree species to master, and I like working to master the items in my winery. If all of that is going to stop if I grow some other crop, or new tree, on ‘another’ farm then I will not be interested in doing that.
After all I can grow different crops, trees, produce goods, etc, on another farm altogether if I want (Farm Town) and still have my original Farmville Farm running.
I had hoped this FVEC would be a real innovation, but I feel it is more likely to be one big disappointment.

That stuff isn’t officially released that’s why it says no longer available. that happened to me w/ the rainbow trees & I was pissed til’ I realized that the model farm was updated before the system. Give it a couple of hours & the stuff will be ready in the market.

Nicole they have said animals can’t be moved from farm to farm, and now it is clear why, and and why storage won’t be available to the new farm. They want/intend people to buy new items for the ‘new’ farm, even if you already have them.
For instance I have four stallions, so if I have a stable in FVEC and items could be transferred I would not need to buy another stallion. However if they won’t allow the movement of animals, and I want to produce foals I have to have another stallion, and the expense of real cash.
I guess that is how it is going to work for everything.
The model farm is odd, I have had it since the beginning, but now it has disppeared altogether. Not that I care, I don’t use it.
I suspect they are planning to roll this FVEC out in the next day or so, and perhaps those new items were put in there a bit too soon.

I am just a few points from 114. I have mastered all the crops–but I have a huge investment in orchards. I have somewhere between 45 and 50 orchards. The trees are the focus of my main farm. I can go to the EC to grow crops quickly-like in a few hours. But, I have 45 trees to master-that is including the four new ones that are not released. I can’t afford to pause them. I predicted it would take a year to master all the trees. Meaning that in a year I will just be running to master the newest releases. I think again, it must be stressed that this EC farm is just a supplemental fun place. I seriously want to finish up the mastery of my spa too. Everything on the EC looks great. Very nice. I can’t wait to have fun there. It’s cruel to keep making us wait. Hurtful. I think for older farmers the EC is a bit of a curse. We don’t get to fully invest ourselves in this farm. No pause!

Well I’m with an apparently shrinking minority who STILL doesn’t have thier model farms…..I too have go to Zynga by email, live chat…….and NOTHING is done…..”we’ll give it to the developers is the standard reply………..anyone with any thoughts on where else or who else to call about this?????

I sure hope that we can have those new horses in the original fv if not I will def be upset im not spending fv cash for 2 seperate farms thats just crazy and no need for it what so ever and if i have the dogwood tree in my old fm then I better be able to have everything else as well this just might make me walk away for good I spend alot of money as it is and refuse to spend more.. And for the record teasing us with the new items in the model farm is unfair why show me if I cant purchase them right then and there…

So not doing this. It’s like starting a whole new game all over. Instead of doing cityville, or petville or whatever, they are tricking us into doing another game by extending farmville.
Why? because now that so many people’s farms are full, they are spending less. So in order for us to clear the slate, they are making us start all over.
I say, let’s all revolt and not do it!
Make it an expansion to our current farm, not a whole new game.
On the other hand, there may not be a better time to quit altogether and do something more productive with our lives.

The model farm is missing on mine now also…but I got pics of it before it disappeared!! I think the whole thing with my “home” farm being on pause is the killer for me…I was excited until I heard that a week or so ago…I got me really sour about the whole game…I spend real money, but why? So they can make my horses disappear, trees disappear, things in my gift box disappear…seems to me the only thing that hasn’t disappeared yet on my farm is me, lol. One help ticket after another…and then a new farm that will hopefully come out without too many glitches, yeah right…They just keep jacking us around.

Zynga is a smart company. They also make over 100 million dollars a year. They know we will spend and they go right at our pocket books.65 fvc for 50 gallons of gas. That’s like 12$.5fvc for 5 bees.10 for a queen bee. They change this because someone is paying it.
I like my original farm I spend money on it regulary. Using every horse I can. Buying items and decorations I like. But I know zynga is ripping me off they could still charge decent prices but they choose to get as high as possible with prices BECAUSE WE PAY.
I guarantee most everyone in here who loves there main farm will be right in ec trying to make that farm better then their neighbors. It’s in our blood to be this way. Even if it costs us. Even if we know what zynga is doing is wrong. I don’t mind them making money. But the level of greed in this company is ridiculous and the level of stupidity in us is even worse. We complain and we still pay and still play.
This new ec farm isn’t for you, its for them(zynga). It’s to fix mistakes they made in original farm and to have this new farm 100% locked down to benefit them. They never new the success fv would be. So there are major holes where farmers can get around spending to much real cash. Ec will not be that way. They’ll feed you lil bits just so you can taste it but if you want the meal YOU WILL NEED TO PAY or starve. And we will. They know it and a lot of you know it. Farmville is a lot of peoples lives it makes them important, **** it makes them social. They complain but they will pay. Honestly I am done. I will not pay on cent toward ec. Because I see what is being done. It’s a scam. I would not be one bit surprised to see them slowly start to discontinue our original farm. You will always have it to play. But no more new crops, no animals, anything they can to get you to ec. If that happens it has been fun but I’m hanging up my overalls.
I beg anyone and everyone who has the heart to do it. DO NOT PAY INTO EC. We can show them by not paying that we are not interested. We have the power, but only if we stand together and stand firm. If we don’t don’t be surprised if they take your farm, apologize and give you a few hundred fvc to go start on ec.
I promise you folks this ec isn’t for customers. It’s for them. They could have invested their time and money into fixing this original Nashville. Faster loading, more space, better improvement on animal movements, less lag, more awesomeness here. Ask your self why did they not do that? Why when my original farm though fun, it has issues. Why would they start a whole new project? To make me happy? If it was would’nt items and animals be transferable? Would you be able to do both farms at once and buy items for countryside for your original and vice versa. That would be fun. This is a money hungry greedy scheme that a lot of suckers will buy into. It’s up to you. But don’t b*tch when you are getting screwed if you are bending over to take it.

It seems as though Zynga/Farmville has really dropped the ball here. They just aren’t listening to what their fans are crying for. All we want is another farm to play with stuff we already have. We have much too many things for one farm to hold. It would be loads be more fun to be able to play with “all out toys in the toy box” I feel like I live in an apartment and can’t take anything out of storage because there isn’t enough room to play.
As for all the cool new things that are only available with FV cash is criminal. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves trying to gouge so much from your fans in this day and age. We work HARD for that money. We have been loyal show US some respect and STOP charging to have fun! You have the opportunity to make this right I sure hope you do.

Susan@34 – I have not seen any post that says we can’t use gift box items. In fact they are planning for us to to do that, because they have told us to collect Special Delivery boxes.
It is the STORAGE you won’t be able to use on both farms. Items in storage can’t be transferred.

There is no way im going to take a new farm if i cant play both at the same time,,i get confused enough about my harvesting times without having to factor in the time i spend on the other farm,,its just nuts,,lots of games have other boards that dont shut off just because you go to the other one,,,this just isnt right,,so,,,end result is i wont be doing the second farm until i can do both at the same time,,good luck to all you people who are going to do it,,bet you have to unwither lots of crops on one farm or the other,,,

Honestly I do not think I will even try my new farm at all. Once you try it you buy it. None of the Facebook games are fun without paying to play. That’s the point of all of them. Why would any of us think different? If you want a cool ec farm you will pay. New barns, new matching storage, new decorations, new horses, good luck with the ec mysery game to get your stallion. It’s a complete joke and painful to think about.
A complete start over project. Get your credits cards ready.

Hustle @47 – Initially it will be quite possible to set up for coins, barns etc, to get people started. My plan is to open the farm, set it up, sow one crop, the shortest possible, and when that is mature – leave the farm. That way as the EC freezes when there will be one pretty farm with a crop just sitting there.
If and when I have done enough on my original farm to have everything complete then I may go back to EC and play that. Or I might just stop playing.
After all having started from scratch and got to 117 and 28×28 and all those masteries not sure there is much attraction in starting over anyway.

This is sooo pointless. I will do same as you Cindy I will start. And do all free stuff I do not care how plain Jane my farm is.
It’s sad. Because this could have. Ben so much better. Why would you want to leave a farm after soooooo much investment. Might aswell leave the game.
I am just disappointed. But I will continue is to grow my current farm. I’m a level 82 and looking for good honest non snag bar, bonus checkers, gamer unite using neighbors.

okay.. lets look at this as what it is, a game.. in games you have to be strategic.. with that being said.. you have to think that way
first there are 24 hours in a day, soooo you play one farm for 12 and the other for 12, imo, if you are above level 100 (which i am), you no longer earn FC for leveling up, so having a new farm may give you more cash.. if you have already mastered all the crops (which i am almost there), you have to ask yourself, WHAT MORE IS THERE FOR ME TO DO other than master trees?? Since I don’t want more than 1 of any of the regular trees on my farm, as they are mastered i move them out of the orchard and sell all but one (keeps my farm from overcrowding), that way if they come up with a level 3 i will at least have one to start.
second, no one is forcing anyone to play a second farm, but if you are done with the first what does it matter which one you play on??
third, what does it matter if you can access your storage or not?? most of my storage is filled with just extra’s of gifts i’ve received, everything else was sold (i have over 20 million coins).
I am a little disappointed that so much is for farm cash tho, since i don’t work i cant afford to invest money in any of the games i play, but i still get enough cash for what i want by doing the sponsored links.

I think new English farm should be right next to FarmVille, I have few Farms because my children stop playing and I am keeping up with them but if I have to add another game I just cant ;(

Yes…I did think it was sweet to get an Insta-Grow from the Spring Countdown, and, sweeter to be able to SHARE one with your FriendS (friends, as in More than One)….however, of course, as with most Cool Things on FarmVille—-the Share Feature is BROKE. Now…where do we turn for help? Can it be fixed for those that did not get the SHARE element as a thank you to all their friends for helping with this silliness? sigh…big big sigh of disappointment.

I was excited about the English Countryside until I started to hear all news about how expensive everything is going to be. I thought Zygna was going to make everything there available for coins! Don’t remember where I read that. I am out of storage and space on my farm and wanted to transfer some of my things over to the new farm. So unless FV changes I am not interested…..

3 of my neighbors just got FVEC and 2 said it was ok and one hurried and got off farmville and wants to know if they can delete the guy in the blimp? None of them want to play it

It vanished temporarily with the St. Patty’s release but then reappeared, I also have a friend that has never gotten the model farm.

i want to lodge a complaint about accepting the gifts. farmville has created a margin to me to accept some particular gifts in a day… but my other friends are getting all the gifts they want to have
just want to confirm that is it only me who is facingf this problem or there is someone else too…………………….
please fix it

Giftbuyer@31 – the instagrow is the final prize in the 12 days collection we have just been doing. You have collected all 12 items and so have one instagrow to use.
Carol@53 -I think you are being a little unrealistic here. Zynga is a business, not a philanthropic organisation, of course its aim is to make money. It gives us a free game, and it is free in all its main aspects. However they do of course hope you will want to enhance that basic play by adding extra’s at the cost of real money.
No point at all in attacking them for that, any more than there is any point attacking a shop for the price of its toys, clothes, etc, or a theatre for the price of its seats.
If you can’t afford, don’t want to spend, that money, then don’t. Absolutely no one, certainly not Zynga is forcing you to.
David@73 – I am aiming to have all crafting in Winery at 5 star. But not planning on buying the other crafting cottages. So far have got them all to level 2, a couple to level 5 and three to level 3. Going to take a while to meet my target
Lindsay@78 – I think that is probably a rumour right now. However it is quite likely they will run down the input to FV original – I think we are seeing the beginning of that now – no change in the mystery game this week so far for instance.
As to law suits, I hardly think so. It’s a Beta game they can pretty much do what they like with it. And for people who have spent money I guess its ‘caveat emptor’.
On the other hand, if they did reach that point at some stage in the future they probably would make it possible to transfer stuff like horses etc over.
Right now I wouldn’t be getting too worked up about a ‘leak’ though.
Alex@79The hazlenut and chestnut tree have been around for ages. I have mastered the hazlenut and am close with the chestnut. Certainly wouldn’t be doing those again on FVEC
Model Farm – I had it from the start until this morning, when it disappeared. Since it contained FVEC stuff I imagine it will stay gone until they get EC rolled out. As they haven’t had time to change the mystery game, I am thinking they may already by finding some problems

I don’t pay to play. I don’t spend real money on Zynga or any where else.
I don’t worry about having a “Plain Jane” farm, because it’s part of my personal win conditions not to give Zynga a dime.
I’m at Level 103 and have nearly mastered every crop. Again, no money spent here.
Most of the stuff they want you to buy are decorations taking up space that could be used to harvest more crops and gain exp. While I wanted the dragon, tiger, etc., heh, so what? They aren’t real anyway.
I won’t pay for EC either. I haven’t decided whether to make the move. I like Cindy’s idea of making a place-holder farm.
If I decide to leave, Zynga won’t miss me — after all I’m just taking up server space.

Ba humbug! I still don’t have the model farm, so why bother getting excited over what’s in it? And I’m not yet sure about the English Countryside. Sounds like it could be fun, but with issues raised already, such as one farm pausing while the other is active, I might just stick to my current farm. I’m level 104 and 28×28. Why start over?

i was talking to my daughter the other night about this and i think this might be the reason behind not being able to share the storage….. this is a new farm. why would you want to make the new one look like the regular one? you will have new decorations and trees and buildings and stuff. i wouldnt want to bring that stuff from the old one to the new one and make it look the same…. i have spent alot of real money on this stupid game too, ( still in shock that i pay real money for things i will never really have) but its a game and its fun. this is just what we are thinking. what do you all think?

I think the EC sounds kind of fun. Somtimes I get a little bored with my original farm and it might be nice once and a while to play a different farm. I don’t think I will put in nearly as much time and effort as I have previously, but I do like a change of scenery once in a while.

seems like almost every post was angry about something, if you dont like the game and how it is now, stop playing, simple as that, dont post hateful things on here this site has nothing to do with what farmville/zynga does, it is just here to help us all get the most current info, be happy people, its a GAME

I too spend money on items I want. Its a game, a leisure activity and if I spend money on my leisure that is fine with me. After all an evening at the cinema is money spent on something not real – you get an hour and a half or so watching people on celluloid pretending to be other people, and when its over you have the memory of the experience.
With this game I buy graphics for less than the price of a drink in the local pub, I have them to decorate the game as long as I choose, and they don’t give me a headache in the morning

I got to the English Countryside, got all expanded, rolled out my building… and 6 hours later realized that while you are on one farm… the other farm is paused. Well, okay… except all my trees, animals and the crops I am working on to master are all on my original farm. That’s where I get all my money… special eggs… I have NO desire to start that over completely and “pause” it while I try to do the same thing on the English farm. So, my English Countryside farm will be in a permanent pause until I finish mastering all my crops and trees on the main farm… or they allow us to farm simultaneously. What a joke!

I am just about 4 hours or so away from being able to go to the English Countryside farm. But I really am not excited about this now. I went to a few ECF’s already and please Zynga KNOCK ME OVER WITH A FEATHER!! I thought it was going to be fantastic or something different. All the hills are is a quick little drawing of hills. In fact we should have all those aspects on our real farm if we want. If I want rolling hills on my farm I should be able to click that and say I want it.
Sure I like the English Cottage they have in the EC and I like the stone fence. All that I like. That is more my style. In real life I am trying to create a cottage garden. I would love to have a real life place like that. An old Cottage and garden. Stone fences. All that. But please they could have just gave us the option to buy those things on our original gardens. All they did was come up with this pause aspect which is a bad idea to begin with.
What I think they did was made a deal with England’s Tourism or government. All this will do is get people to consider going to England for vacation. “Honey lets go to England on our vacation. We will live the English Countryside just like on our new farmville!! WOW!! See that is exactly what this is. A big push for England’s tourism. Somehow there was a big pay off. This will bring thousands of tourists to their country now do to this.
I am not jumping for joy for this scam and not playing into FV’s hands here. Pausing our games we have been playing for months. My main farm is a money maker because I am almost at the highest expansion. I have the land to grow lots of things and make big coin!! BIG COIN! And now you want me to piddle around on this English Countryside farm begging like a newbie farmer once again? You have to be kidding me. This is a serious bad idea. They should roll out Mexico, Australia, Africa, Canada, Philippines, farms. Go for it Zynga!! But please don’t pause anything while we go to these farms.
There is no reason to do this pause garbage. Just sell us themes. If we want to buy a theme for a certain country then we will make our farm out of that. I don’t know what to say here other than this isn’t going to fly with me. They want to put new crops in my face on my farmville that I can only grow in my English Countryside farm. Trying to compell me to be part of it. What if I am not wanting to go to that farm then suddenly I have things that I feel I haven’t accomplished? Well I might leave these things for last if I ever do it. I will continue with my main farm. In fact all you Farmers that started many months before me that are ahead of me with their farms please pause it and stay in England so I can catch up lol. Great idea. GO NOW!! Stay there for 6 months. Have a nice English Countryside life!

I was so excited to get the EC Farm but now that I know you can’t work both farms at once then whats the point really? It is frustrating!!!! I spent the good coins to fully upgrade at EC then a joke when you hve to choose what farm you want to harvest at then leave it going?! They need to fix this because it almost makes me not want to play any of it!!! PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!

I looked forward to the English version of farmville but the “pause” feature kills it for me – looked at it – looks pretty and the towns would be great – but not if I’m pausing what mly regular farm is doing. I’ll pass. If you could change it to a separate farm, with no pausing, I’ll go for it.

the pause feature was a horrible idea. im sry but it is. what is the point of having 2 farms if you basically cant do ANYTHING AT ALL on the other farm….. in other words you have one farm still….. i was super excited for the whole deal up until i found that out. FIX IT PLEASE! or the english can kiss my beautful arse goodbye

I don’t understand why I can’t even fertilize and feed chickens on the regular farms and going to the neighbors farms. everything takes a very long time.
I use to enjoy playing farmville but it seems the fun is being taken out of the whole thing.
They should have made these two games different from each other not try to incorporate them as one. It isn’t working.
Please fix the problem or take away the english farm until all the bugs are worked out and fix.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO KEEP ONE OF YOUR FARMS PAUSED AT A TIME.
when you want to travel and you click “go to my home farm” something pops up and in the bottom right corner it says “pause my england farm until i return.” JUST UNCHECK THAT AND YOU CAN KEEP BOTH FARMS UNPAUSED.
