A new FarmVille cash offer is now being reported by several FarmVille Freaks. After loading the game some players are receiving the screen featured above stating that with a FarmVille Cash purchase they will receive a bonus gift of one free Disco Ball tree.

Disco Ball Trees were first available during an LE New Years event. The cost at that time for one tree was 15 $FV. It is however a Level 2 tree, so you can grow a Disco Ball Tree from a Mystery Seedling for free.

FarmVille Unwither Clock Monthly Extension Fee

FarmVille Unwither Clock

As many of you may remember the FarmVille English Countryside Unwither Clock was released shortly after English Countryside premiered. A user could purchase the Unwither Clock for 55 $FV and would provide 30 days of wither protection. For some who purchased the clock the 30 days is now up and are being offered a time extension of 30 days more of wither protection for 45 $FV.

In the past farmers have been able to purchase wither protection by one and large upfront investment  of 250 $FV in an Unwither Ring. The Unwither Clock offers the same protection but will cost a farmer 45 $FV a month.

While unwither protection is very useful, it is often turned on by the Big Z for technical issues. Most recently unwither has been turned on for 4 consecutive days. Perhaps Z should refund players who made/make this monthly this investment and got the service free anyways ?

FarmVille Money Tree

Don’t we all wish we had a $FV Tree? ….

FarmVille Freaks have been busy mastering new crops and sheep breeding in the very exciting FarmVille English Countryside addition. Since FarmVille English Countryside was released we have seen many new and exciting limited edition items added to the FarmVille Market for purchase. Now, there have been quite a few coin items like the Garden Gazebo or the Secluded Hideaway. But an unusual amount of $FV animals and trees have also been added.

Since FVEC  became available to players a total of 6 new horses were added as well as 2 cows for $FV. Also, 10 new trees have also been added. Remember, FVEC only rolled out on March 22nd, two weeks ago today.

Do you think too many $FV items have been added recently, should Zynga slow down? Do you collect any or all of the items listed in this post?

FarmVille Freak Poll: Is it unfair for Zynga to release items that once cost real money for free?

Wed ,02/02/2011

FarmVille Pink Patch Cow

FarmVille Freaks are angry! In an update earlier today new items became available for redemption as part of the Valentines Mailbox event, one of those items was the rare Pink Patch Cow.

We at FarmVille Freak think it is necessary to address the outrage over this update!

Of course FarmVille Freaks love to harvest their crops, but lets admit most farmers are hoarders and collectors. It is often discussed amongst avid FarmVille players which items should be considered rare and where they can be seen on a neighbors farm. Most items that are considered rare were released in the first 6-8 months of FarmVille. Players who are proud owners of rare items are long and faithful players, so when Zynga re-releases them there is always a bit of a stir.

Items that were once considered rare but were re-released:

  • Haunted House
  • Alien Cow
  • Grey Goose
  • Mrs.Clause & Valentines Gnome

Now, we do understand that certain items are returned so new farmers or farmers that had missed out on these items have a chance to obtain them. We <3 new farmers!

BUT, farmers today are very very upset over the re-release of the Pink Patch Cow. The Pink Patch Cow was released for the first time on February 3rd 2010 (exactly one year ago today) and cost 14$FV, you can check out our original post, here.

As of today, February 3rd, 2011, you can now redeem the Pink Patch Cow for 150 Valentines, so it is free!

This is not the first time Zynga has re-released items that once cost FV$ (real money) to farmers again at no cost, other items include:

  • Longhorn Cow
  • Hot Pink Pig
  • Appaloosa Horse

For arguments sake lets refer to what Lexilicious stated during a FarmVille Podcast about the Nursery Barn.

It would be highly unfair to the people who purchased these animals for cash to have their friends and neighbors be able to grow their foals and calves up into the same animals for free.” (Source: Zynga, FarmVille Podcast May 28th, 2010)
